Aesthetic nose surgery or Rhinoplasty

Some people are unhappy with the appearance of their nose, or the way aging has changed the shape of their nose, or perhaps they have suffered from a nasal injury causing a noticeable deformity. Many factors contribute to nasal deformities, many of which may be addressed through a rhinoplasty procedure. The nose is a most defining facial feature and even a slight alteration can make a big difference.

Shared expectations between patient and surgeon are paramount to a successful rhinoplasty.

A rhinoplasty procedure is performed in our surgical suite under general anesthesia. Incisions are made to allow Dr. Stosich access to the bone and cartilage of the nose. This bone and cartilage is then shaped by removing some, adding to it, or rearranging it. Incisions are then closed and a splint is applied to the outside of the nose the help hold the newly created shape. Soft material may be placed inside the nose for support as well, or nasal supports may be placed in the nose to aid breathing.

After the surgery, your face will feel swollen and you may require pain medication to ease your discomfort. Minor swelling and bruising in the eye area are common. You must avoid exertion and sun exposure for a period of time after the surgery. Eyeglasses may be worn with some adjustments made to prevent them from sitting on the bridge of the nose.

Rhinoplasty surgery can improve your self-image and increase your confidence.
